Woven Social... Coming soon!

If you’re seeing this, you’ve found Mohua’s most exciting secret.

Woven Social is Mohua’s new community platform—a vibrant digital basket filled with local stories, businesses, events, and grassroots projects. It’s social media without the endless scroll, local commerce without the middle man, and community without boundaries.

About The Rural Service Centre - Country Store

Rural Service Centre – Locally Owned, Community Grown

A Golden Bay original, the Rural Service Centre (RSC) is a locally owned cooperative and registered charity founded by local farmers in 1952. Built on a belief in partnership between family, farm, and community, the RSC is a one-of-a-kind hub — blending rural retail, a full-service veterinary clinic, and on-farm advisory under one roof.

Country Store
Located in central Tākaka, the RSC Country Store is a one-stop shop for locals, lifestylers, and farmers alike. It stocks one of the widest ranges in the Bay:
Farm and dairy equipment, fencing gear, seeds, stock feed, animal food, pet supplies, garden products, trees and shrubs, tools, hardware, homewares, bulk goods, clothing, gumboots, and seasonal products.
Easy parking, knowledgeable staff, and friendly service make it the go-to place for anyone working the land or living rurally.

Golden Bay Vet Clinic
The only vet clinic in the Bay, the RSC’s modern, mixed-practice facility cares for both pets and production animals.
Services include:
Companion Animals – Health checks, vaccinations, microchipping, flea & worm care, X-rays, surgery, and premium pet foods.
Farm Animals – Milk quality testing, mastitis control, drenching, trace element and pregnancy scanning, reproduction planning, and vaccination programmes.
Emergency care is available 24/7.

On-Farm Services
With deep roots in the region’s farming community, the RSC also offers:
Pasture and cropping programmes, soil testing, stock management, feed budgeting, and tailored farm advisory.

As a true cooperative vet club, all profits go back into Golden Bay — supporting discounted services, facility upgrades, and community wellbeing. It’s local through and through, and proud to serve the people and animals of this special place.

The integration of a full-service veterinary clinic with a country store creates a distinctive rural hub, addressing both medical and supply needs for animal owners. Their 4.7-star rating from 45 reviews reflects expertise in managing the specific challenges of rural animal care, from livestock herd health to companion animal emergencies. The clinic stands out through its emphasis on accessibility – wheelchair-friendly facilities and prioritized appointments demonstrate client-focused design.
