About Te Whare Mehana
Te Whare Mahana provides a range of community-based mental health services within Golden Bay, as well as New Zealand’s only national DBT intensive mental health programme.
Te Whare Mahana Trust is an independent, Non-Government Organisation (NGO) based in Takaka, Golden Bay, governed by a Board of community representatives.
Local Golden Bay programmes include Community Mental Health Services and an Employment and Vocational service. Te Whare Mahana has strong connections with other local service providers and agencies and works closely with Golden Bay Community Hospital, Mohua Social Services and local GPs.
All Te Whare Mahana’s trained professionals are committed to providing the best quality services and a genuine, warm and welcoming atmosphere for clients, their families and whanau.
