About Dance Mohua Collective
d.c.m is a dance and performance collective founded by Cynthia Lorrian. d.c.m is now a charitable trust organisation.
Its main goal is to provide a space for any potential facilitators and students, and those supporting them, to come together to share their passion and skills for dance and performance.
2019 saw an exciting development in the d.c.m vision of dance and performance art in Golden Bay. Cynthia continues to facilitates a small day time group of youth aged 10 to 18 who are empowered to take themselves out of the usual and standard offers of education. All are passionate about dance and performance and want to expand and deepen their training in these areas all the while opening up opportunities for their future in dance and performance art. Cynthia has also invited Ali and Milo to bring their dancing/teaching experience to both the Tui and the after school sessions.
d.c.m has just had it’s 4th annual performance ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ December 2021, showcasing performing art students from around Golden Bay featuring ballet, contemporary dance, physical theatre, music and song.
