Potential lives within every young person. Big Brothers Big Sisters supports young people to reach their full potential, through strong positive relationships that express care, challenge growth, share power, and expand possibilities.
Our mentors help ignite youth potential.
Through our mentoring programmes we connect young people with caring tuakana (mentors), offering one-on-one friendship, encouragement and support – so each young person knows someone believes in them.
Across our individual support, corporate partnership and community mentoring services, we create safe spaces where growth, belonging and confidence flourish. We honour the principle: “Mā te tuakana te teina e tōtika, mā te teina te tuakana e tōtika”, from the older the younger will learn, and from the younger the older will learn.
Through these relationships we ignite possibility, strengthen resilience and bring light to futures that once seemed dim. Join us!
